Meet IMJG: Marketing That’s Clear, Practical, and Built for Real Life

If you’ve ever said, “We should be doing more marketing,” and then immediately felt overwhelmed … you’re in the right place.

IMJG Marketing (IMJG) is a women-owned marketing and communications studio built for small businesses and nonprofits that care deeply about what they do, but don’t have the time, bandwidth, or desire to “market like an agency.” We help you turn that constant marketing guilt into real momentum.

We’re not here to hand you a complicated “strategy deck” and wish you luck. We’re ready to help you get unstuck and build momentum, one clear step at a time. That might mean tightening your homepage message (or structure), choosing one priority for the month, and mapping out exactly what to post and where.

Why we started IMJG

IMJG exists because of our own community, Taunton, Massachusetts. Over the last decade, we’ve watched downtown change for the better, and we want to see that progress continue. We’ve also seen too many independent businesses close, not because they weren’t good, but because not enough people knew they were there.

We’re here to help the businesses and nonprofits that keep the community alive stay visible and stay strong.

And we know how hard it is right now to run a small business or nonprofit. Even the best organizations get buried by day-to-day operations. Marketing becomes “the thing we’ll get to when we have time,” which usually means never.

Who we are

My name is Jen Hoye. I’m a career-long marketer, storyteller, and social media manager; also an author and community advocate. I’ve spent my career helping organizations communicate clearly, show up consistently, and connect with the people they serve to drive results. At IMJG, I’m the person who helps you take scattered ideas and turn them into a clear message and a plan you can actually follow.

Maureen Mosher is my co-founder. She’s a civic leader and local business owner with a career background in PR and journalism. She’s spent years helping organizations shape their story, earn visibility, and build credibility in the community. At IMJG, Maureen brings the PR lens, the editor’s instinct, and the local relationships that help the right people actually see what you’re doing.

Our daughters went through local schools together from pre-K through high school. Our friendship blossomed later, and now we’re building something together. We’re both straight shooters, we love what we do, and we want to see small businesses and nonprofits thrive.

What we help with

Our work lives in four areas, and they all connect:

  • Strategy & Messaging - We help you figure out what to say, who to say it to, and what to do first. This is where “marketing overwhelm” turns into a clear plan.

  • Copy & Content - Words shape perception. We write strategic, human content that helps people understand you quickly and trust you faster. Website copy, email campaigns, newsletters, donor and customer communications, social content, and more.

  • Social Strategy - You don’t need to post daily to be effective. We build social media strategy, content themes, and planning frameworks so you can show up consistently and intentionally. Daily management is available if you want it, but most clients start with a plan that’s actually doable.

  • PR & Visibility - Good stories deserve to be seen. We support press releases, media outreach, pitches, announcements, and visibility efforts for small businesses and nonprofits looking to increase awareness, credibility, and community connection.

Who we work best with

If any of this sounds like you, we should talk:

  • You’re a small local business that needs more customers and you’re not sure what to do first.

  • You’re a service-based business doing great work, but you’re not being found consistently.

  • You’re a nonprofit with a small team, and marketing feels like one more job you can’t keep up with.

  • Your website and social presence don’t reflect who you really are.

  • You’re ready to show up more consistently, but you want it to feel manageable, not like a second full-time job.

Our approach

It’s simple: We meet you where you are.

Some clients come to us with a messy website (or no website) and a million ideas. Some come to us with a strong business and no time to communicate it. Some come to us in a stressful moment because they need visibility now.

No matter where you start, our goal is the same:

  • Make your message clear

  • Make your marketing manageable

  • Build real momentum

Try Our 3-Minute Marketing Scorecard

One thing we hear constantly from small businesses and nonprofits is this:

“We know we should be doing more marketing. We just don’t know where to start.”

That’s exactly why we created our Marketing Scorecard.

It’s a short, practical assessment that helps you quickly evaluate the key areas that influence whether your marketing is actually working:

• Website clarity
• Messaging
• Audience focus
• Content consistency
• How easy it is for people to take the next step

It takes about 10 minutes to complete. Once you submit it, you’ll receive a score and a simple explanation of what that score means, along with a few suggestions for where to focus first.

If you’ve been wondering whether your marketing foundation is strong or scattered, this is a great place to begin.

Want to work together?

If you’re in Greater Taunton, Rhode Island, or even beyond; and you’ve been stuck in “we should really be doing more marketing” mode, we’d love to help.

A short conversation is usually enough to figure out what you need and whether we’re the right fit.

We’re glad you’re here. Let’s talk.
